Chief Executive Officer:

Umair Aslam (MBA, Finance) – CEO:

Mr. Aslam is a double gold medalist in the BBA (2010) and MBA (2011) programs from IoBM (formerly CBM), where he remained on a merit-based scholarship throughout his studies. He joined Magnus as a Management Trainee in June 2011 within the Portfolio Management (PM) team. Throughout his career at Magnus, Mr. Aslam has worked across multiple functions with the long-term objective of eventually leading the firm’s operations. He headed the Securities Analysis (SA) team, where he developed deep expertise in equity research, SOPs, valuations, and analytical frameworks for equity investments. He later led the Business Development (BD) team and played a key role in securing new business for the firm. He was also part of the team that published Pakistan’s first asset allocation study. Mr. Aslam subsequently served as the Head of PM for many years, acting as the primary point of contact for Magnus’ clients. He later assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing the PM, Finance, HR, and IT functions. In July 2025, he took charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company. He brings progressive leadership experience in managing institutional retirement funds, corporate portfolios, and ultra-high-net-worth individual accounts. He has cleared all SECP-mandated examinations administered by IFMP and is a Certified Director from PICG.

Nadeem Jeddy (MBA, CFA, CIM) – Executive Director:

Mr. Jeddy is the founder and Executive Director of Magnus. He is a seasoned investment banker with seventeen years’ worth of experience with Citigroup in mergers & acquisitions and credit & risk management. He specializes in the fundamental investment analysis of industries and companies. Mr. Jeddy has cleared the mandatory exams administered by the Institute of Financial Markets of Pakistan (IFMP) and is a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).

Riyaz Towfiq Chinoy – Director:

Mr. Chinoy is a qualified Industrial Engineer and has obtained a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, from Case Western Reserve University, USA. He has extensive experience in large scale industrial manufacturing and has very successfully headed Pakistan’s largest pipe manufacturing company. He is on the Board of Toyota Indus Motor Company Limited, Jubilee General Insurance Company, Bulleh Shah Packaging Limited, Heavy Mechanical Complex, Starch Pack Ltd and Packages Convertors Ltd. He has served as the Chairman of Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG) from 2017 – 2021. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Pakistan and a certified Independent Director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).

Rehan Riaz – Director:

Mr. Riaz holds a B.Sc Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. He is the co- founder and CEO of AJR Metal Fabricators (Pvt.) Limited, supplying auto parts to Honda and Yamaha. His first‐hand insight of industrial activity (real sector as opposed to financial sector) is extremely valuable for the Company. Moreover, Mr. Riaz is a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).

Najeeb Afsar – Independent Director:

Mr. Afsar is the Chairman of the Audit Committee at Magnus. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from NED University, Karachi. He is a well-known and experienced civil engineer of Pakistan. He has the experience of executing the most prominent and complex civil engineering projects in the country, namely, The Aga Khan Hospital & Medical College, Finance & Trade Centre and Jinnah Terminal (Karachi Airport).

Fareeha Saifi – Independent Director:

Ms. Saifi is a MBA from the Institute of Business Administration and has a very diverse background in the social services sector, holding positions of Project Leader, Project Development Manager, Social Development Consultant etc. in various local and international organizations.”
